Default Folder X
One thing that drove me crazy coming from Windows is the fact that when I save things in either Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, etc etc (or anywhere for that matter) it limits you in finder to do two things, Make a new folder, or simply Save. In windows you are able to change file names, folder names, erase folders and files, move them, etc etc all within the “save” or “open” dialog box. You may either say, so? what’s the big deal, or… I know, I HATE THAT!

If you’re on of the ones who say “I know, I hate that” then this may be your lucky day. I came across a nifty little preference pane called Default Folder X! it gives you all sorts of features and options when doing things like saving, opening etc while in a open or save dialog box, but not only that, it has some really great, time saving features, It really is awesome! Don’t take my word for it though, head over to their site and read about it, or check out the very informative screencast which I prefer. I’ve seen better Mac App sites, but it does the job. If anything just download the trial and let it run, if you don’t find it somewhat useful, ever! come back here and you can say I was wrong.

Billings 3, Professional time tracking, invoicing software

Hello again guys… I have come across an extremely helpful, time saving, professional, and quite frankly, awesome app, for the Mac. Now, there are many applications that I love on the Mac, and all for different reasons, I think I love this one so much because I have been in need of something like it for quite some time.

Let me introduce BILLINGS 3 ! by Marketcircle. It’s an application that handles all of your clients, invoices, statements, etc. etc. etc. and even mails them out for you using apple mail. There are tons of features I could tell you about here, but I find that totally unnecessary considering it has already been done on their website. They have a few other applications on their site that are really cool too.

If you have your own business, or work for someone who could use this I definitely recommend at least trying it out. Do you watch your watch or clock when doing work for clients? If so, you really need this application. It keeps track of the time you spend on each project etc, simply… it’s amazing!

Try it out, comment below about your experience.
