It’s official (for real, this time) — Steve Jobs will introduce iCloud, “Apple’s upcoming cloud services offering,” iOS 5 and Mac OS X 10.7 Lion during the WWDC keynote on June 6. Note that iCloud is named specifically and referred to as “cloud services,” suggesting that it’s more than music.

One thing that drove me crazy coming from Windows is the fact that when I save things in either Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, etc etc (or anywhere for that matter) it limits you in finder to do two things, Make a new folder, or simply Save. In windows you are able to change file names, folder names, erase folders and files, move them, etc etc all within the “save” or “open” dialog box. You may either say, so? what’s the big deal, or… I know, I HATE THAT!
If you’re on of the ones who say “I know, I hate that” then this may be your lucky day. I came across a nifty little preference pane called Default Folder X! it gives you all sorts of features and options when doing things like saving, opening etc while in a open or save dialog box, but not only that, it has some really great, time saving features, It really is awesome! Don’t take my word for it though, head over to their site and read about it, or check out the very informative screencast which I prefer. I’ve seen better Mac App sites, but it does the job. If anything just download the trial and let it run, if you don’t find it somewhat useful, ever! come back here and you can say I was wrong.
Show Hidden Files-Mac
As a Mac convert, “simple” things like showing hidden files don’t seem so simple. I came across an extremely simple process to show hidden files in finder, which is very helpful to see things like .htaccess files.
